[OSList] Bar Camp?

Channeling my inner Harrison here…

Just Open Space.

A little coaching with them will go a long way.  They seem to think that if they change up the process every year it will be interesting for people.  That is a fundamental error.  What is interesting for people is not the process that gets used but the ability to immediately connect with peers and colleagues to learn together and initiate strategic work.  If the process is the star of the show, then “you’re doing it wrong.”

So ask your client why they are even having this gathering and what’s it for.  Unless the purpose of the gathering is “to experience a Bar Camp” then just open space (or indeed deploy whatever group process will serve the need) and let the participants get on with their strategic work.
