Carms True happiness is a state of mind.
Happiness is not a consequence of things that happen.
Do not pursue happiness - practice it.
Sing, even if you do not sound good.
Smile, even when things go wrong.
Create happiness, and happy you will be.

Hello, all - and now for some lovely news about our next OSLIST Poet Laureate. An OSLIST Poet Laureate’s honor is to hold space for poetry on the OSLIST for the next six or so months.Thank you for your wonderful contributions, all.And there was more happening than what you may have thought. I will show you.
___
First, a haiku response from Chris Altmikus, who selected my invitation as his choice for all five of his dots. I had not noticed that this part of my invitation was like the first line of a haiku:
Ready?
Here
we
go.

___
Aha! Poetry is everywhere, if we notice the poetry all around us. As Florian does, below.
Next, a haiku response from Tenneson Woolf, who noted he had missed the deadline for writing a haiku:

Damn! I missed deadline.
Would have written, otherwise.
My dots are below.

___
And now, here is my haiku response to all of you who responded:

Thank you, dear poets -
some who knew you were, and some
who suprised yourselves.

Here are the results of the Spring 2015 OSLIST Poetry Contest.
About how less is sometimes more, when Open Space is used.
Our new Poet Laureate is (drumroll, please…)
Lucas Cioffi !

We are so very lucky to have every one of you as members of our community.Congratulations to all of you poet contributors and all of you poetry appreciators.

Warmly,
