Hello Harrison,
Fortunately the site is working correctly now. I'm your local software
developer, and there was an error due to one of my recent changes.
Truth be told, one of the gerbils that keeps the site running got off its
gerbil wheel and took a coffee break. When it got back on, its small
coffee cup fell and became lodged deep inside the gerbil wheel. There was
a little miscommunication while I asked it to stick its little gerbil foot
between the spokes and pull the cup out. Fortunately, everything is back
up and running now, including the gerbil whose name will be withheld.
Moral of the story: It seems like picking up coffee cups is as important in
software as it is in OS.
It's been wonderful seeing Michael work to put this together. This
round-the-clock, multi-day design is going to be so much fun. I'm
supporting this effort on the software side to make sure the tech stays out
of the way as much as possible. We all stand to learn so much from such an
ambitious event design.
Bravo Michael, and thank you to Tricia Chirumbole who inspired this through
the OS Hotline. If you haven't tried the OS hotline yet, it's a lot of
fun; Tuesdays at 12pm Eastern using the Zoom video conferencing system.
Look for Tricia's posts on Mondays/Tuesdays each week for details.
