[OSList] Open Space videos

Adriana – I hate to say it, but the folks are right. Public display of a
video, particularly in a venue that could be judged “commercial” (like your
website) really should require written permissions. There is not much you
can do now, unless you want to approach everybody who is recognizable and
ask. Video of “news” events would not. Sometimes the line is a fine one.

Hello! It is to bad that I can not be there this time in OS but please know
that I would have appreciate a lot to join you all there in NYC again!

And I have a question for this group. It is about OS video ownership and use.
I facilitate an OS in april 2013 and my client was not interested in having
a video of this OS but I was, so I ask their permission to make this video.
But I did not ask permission to put it on mi web site. After they told me I
have to remove it from there because they did not agree and because more
than a 100 people are there and we did not asked their permission to
film.them. But they saw the camara man (women) filming an nobody said they
don accept to be filmed.

The have told me to remove it but the reasons don't seem clear to me at all.
What is the correct way to use OS videos according to your experiences?

by the way, I payed it, of course and I did not charge for the preparation
of this OS I only charged the 2 days that I was there...

and this is delicate because I am a member of the association that decided
to do this OS.

The video can be seen at www.diazberrio.com

Thank you very much for telleing me about how I could do next time or how
can I do now i think this question is important for other people also.

Funny how all these things turn up... whenever, wherever. Brought tears to
my eyes, and warmth to my heart. I think that what Phelim and his friend
have done is a wonderful testimony to what we do, and why. Thank you!

Another video to add:

Ragnar Freidank, a film maker based in New York, made this short film of the
Devoted and Disgruntled Roadshow which Improbable held using Open Space in
the summer of 2012, around the UK (28 events, working on the question "What
are we going to do about theatre and the performing arts?". The report was
big enough to sit on!)
