Dear Suzanne and All

What a delightful surprise to see the video of the WOS2002 in Marysville.

For it does indeed capture the spirit of this gathering, joyous in diverse
ways. Among these were the lively spirits present from all around our
little planet, the outstanding organisation of convenor Fr Brian Bainbridge
and his team in Melbourne, the camaraderie promoted by the enchanting place
in which we were all housed, the walks in the nearby woods to view the
nocturnal arboreal animals, an evening of singing which I convened and
David Smith backed up with his guitar. Plus Harrison's introduction of 'The
Practice of Peace.' And firm friendships set in train.

As you may know most of the country town of Marysville and the whole of the
Marylands Hotel were destroyed in the kind of bush fire now sweeping
through the Blue Mountains and other parts of New South Wales.

The memories of happy times and friendships renewed and forged among the OS
community live on.

Looking forward

Go well

Alan
