Thanks to everyone for your lovely words and wishes,a nd also thanks to Harrison for writing the manual, from which one of my poems was taken.

My first act as Poet Laureate of Open Space is to set up a blog, firstly with all the poems that were entered.

PS I ran a training course yesterday and opened some space at the start of the day in a way that was directly inspired by OST.  This was with a group of 20 or so consultant level medics from different disciplines and institutions around London. I took a risk in being vulnerable with my invitation to share, and not fill the space myself, and there was a palpable sense of vulnerability on the group, five seconds silence, then the sharing came, and this became the most powerful day like this I have ever run, with an amazing energy in the room, lots of sharing openly from experience, including medical directors of hospitals opening up about their practice in front of their peers; and really high satisfaction levels at the end. Recently I ran the same course and had to scramble to fill the day, adding in another exercise when it seemed not to be working.  This time we didn't even do two of the planned exercises and really the course ran itself with far less direct input from me. Amazing! 

I am also working with a med school and am slowly brining them round to the idea of allowing very new med students to have a half day where the theme is set but the agenda is very very open, such that they can bring their own values, passions and responsibilities into play in relation to their chosen careers, rather than having to go along with an externally imposed version.

In Stoke Newington Town Hall I fell in love with nothing,and it was no thing that I loved.

Alone, knowing no-one and nothing I walked the circleI got presentI was connected.

This poem are words I put together from the participants in the Open Space on Future of Learning here in Manila in 2011. As I listened to the participants I wrote down all the beautiful words and phrases uttered and organized them into this (see below). These were words/phrases from about half of the participants as I was seated somewhere in the middle (of the circumference) of the circle in the closing ceremony. I listened to each one, wrote down, and when It was my turn to speak, I read this piece.

Help us to just be Not controlling

 Help us share what we learned To listen to everyone since we are all brilliant and wise
