Hi Harold and all

If you create and automated reply in Outlook there is an easy way to prevent
this from happening. And that is to tell the Out of office assistant to only
send the message once to each email adres. Subsequent mails from the same
person will not receive the automated reply.

Cheers,

Koos

Dear OSList,

So sorry for the multiple automated reply spam. And thank you Peggy Holman
for calling me about it!

There's no way I can think of to prevent such replies, and replies to
replies, and replies to replies to replies - from filling up the list
without unsubscribing lucy at pocketarts.org.

If you know Lucy - please send her my apologies when she gets back. I'll
send her a note as well separately - but it may get lost in all the
automated replies she has in her inbox.

As warning - if you plan on setting up an automated responder - see if you
can find a way to keep it from responding to the oslist first.

And now back to our regularly scheduled programming :-)

adding to koos' tip...

for gmail users, if you get multiple messages from the same sender, gmail
will automatically send only one autoreply to that address every four days.
additionally, gmail offers an optional checkbox when you set up the
autoreply, so that your message only goes to addresses in your "MyContacts"
list.  in my account, the oslist address is not listed in my contacts, but
rather in 'other contacts.'

another option, if you must use an autoreply and can't sort these various
details for excluding the oslist, is to set up a list-only address with
gmail or another free service.  you can have your oslist mail forwarded to
your main address by your new list-only email account.  if you leave your
main address subscribed to the oslist, but on 'no mail' then you'll still
be able to send messages/replies from your main address (instead of being
rejected as a non-listmember).

AND... the easiest option is to teach all your friends and colleagues and
clients that whenever you reply to their message will be the right time...
and just forget about using autoreply altogether!

?muchas gracias
Thank you Agustin AJ of Columbia.  Yes I was so delighted to see your
messages that I did a quick search to be reminded of who you are and I
found this wonderful posting by you of an Open Space on Education in
Columbia (my neighbors in Connecticut were from Columbia, Bogota and I love
them).  I have re-posted it below as a joint celebration of the wonderful
collaboration we are having with our educational institutions in Florida
around WOSonOS2013:  The University of South Florida (USF) in St.
Petersburg, the Collaborative Labs for our February 28th workshop at St.
Petersburg College and even some amazing conversations with USF Tampa.   I
hope perhaps there is a chance you can attend. I believe that Jasmina
Nikolic from the University of Belgrade (Foreign Studies) in Serbia who is
also doing amazing work with Open Space in Education will also be coming.
So ?muchas gracias!  I celebrate our upcoming event feeling that indeed the
World is Waiting .... (for Open Space) in Education where it is much needed
and in so many other places too.

*And here again your wonderful posting:*

July 7, 2012

Hello all,

I am very happy to share with you that we have "opened space" in Colombia
last week.  We organized with the Instituto de la Conversaci?n (The
Institute of Conversation) an OS about how to make better the education in
Colombia. It was formally the first OS I have facilitated and it was a
great experience.  It was a 5 hour event but it was enough to have great
conversations.

Some interesting topics:

   - Education for peace
   - Technology in education
   - Ethics and education
   - The roll of arts and humanities in college education
   - Education and citizenship

This is the first event of a series we want to organize about Education.
One of the objectives of the Instituto de la Conversaci?n is to open the
space to voices that are not necessarily included in the debates oficially
sponsored, when goverment presents a reform about  the major issues that
are of interest to the whole society. Some months ago the Colombian
goverment presented a education reform that was rejected. Some pictures in

Suzanne, it seems that you are enjoying the adventure.

Very beautiful and simple webpage, it seems, I just took a quick look and I
love it !

It just prompted to my head (who knows why?) *"Shiny happy people"*. I love
the song, and as usually, I didn?t know the lyrics,...I just picked them,
just in case it can inspire you all just a bit more!
*Shiny happy people*

Shiny happy people laughing
Meet me in the crowd
People people
Throw your love around
Love me love me
Take it into town
Happy happy
Put it in the ground
Where the flowers grow
Gold and silver shine

Shiny happy people holding hands
Shiny happy people laughing

Everyone around love them, love them
Put it in your hands
Take it take it
There's no time to cry
Happy happy
Put it in your heart
Where tomorrow shines
Gold and silver shine

Shiny happy people holding hands
Shiny happy people laughing

laugh and love!

Thank you all for the donations and for keeping us in our thoughts.

There are thousands of original names for the places that are now Canada. In fact some if these leaders I am working with make it their work to put these names back on the land.

Cool times friends!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Nine years ago, as a Valentine present for my husband, I quickly jotted down a few appreciative questions for a spontaneous interview with each other.  We had such a great time with it, that I passed it along to family and friends.

This year, as we engage in what has become part of our Valentines' Ritual, I will be thinking of all of you around the world who keep your hearts open and offer love to the world every single day.

INTERVIEW WITH MY VALENTINE

As you interview your valentine, notice what touches you most, reminds you of why you are Valentines and offers you inspiration for your future together.

1.     What are two or three most inspiring or rewarding experiences of our time together?   Please tell me one of the stories.

2.    What first attracted you to me? (qualities, behaviors, potential, etc.)

What do you value most about me now?

3.    How has our relationship helped or benefited you the most?

4.   What challenges, disappointments or roadblocks have we successfully addressed together?

5.  What three things do you commit to do to increase the strength and vitality of our relationship?

With warm Valentine's wishes from a sparkling Phoenix day,

Christine
