[OSList] Fwd: Jamaica uses Open Space to silence violence • TimesLedger

I facilitated a second NYC Open Space in the past 2 months as a response to
the tragic violence at the Sandy Hook School, in Newtown,
Connecticut. An article link below highlights some of what occurred for the
70 plus people who participated. Community individuals, teens, justice
officials and interfaith leaders have continued to meet since the OS 2
weeks ago. In early May, I will be teaching community leaders, teens,
citizens, children's advocates, probation, school, and the prosecutors
office in Queens, NY how to conduct their own Open Space meetings within
their organizations and for their respective constituencies. The community
asked for how they could do this themselves.
The closing circle responses reinforced how freeing this process was.
