[OSList] closing circle with lots of participants was: how to find resources?

Thanks for your question, Birgitt. There is something that I have done at times when time is short and the group is large that I didn't know to do in 2004. Invite people to take 5 minutes to reflect in pairs or triads, then open the circle any reflections to be spoken to the whole. That gives every voice a chance to be heard by someone.

appreciatively,
Peggy

I would not do it this way in terms of my honor of circle work…when a circle is opened, there is also a closing of the actual circle that brings about completion. I wonder if there is a way to do the closing practiced by those of you with really large groups, and also do something to include each and every person to close the circle? I look forward to reading your creativity about this…if you care to add.

Just remember that we have to be out of here by ??:?? o’clock.” When we reach the magic moment I take back the mike, pass it to the sponsor for a final farewell. Always seems to work.

My question that I was looking for the answer in the archives was and is - How do you do/ how to handle a closing circle when there is thousands of participants in an OS meeting. I mean it could take very loooooooooong.......
