[OSList] closing circle with lots of participants was: how to find resources?

I think that this approach will get the job done at one level of
consciousness. I would not do it this way in terms of my honor of circle
work
when a circle is opened, there is also a closing of the actual circle
that brings about completion. I wonder if there is a way to do the closing
practiced by those of you with really large groups, and also do something to
include each and every person to close the circle? I look forward to reading
your creativity about this
if you care to add.

The OS with 2,100 street kids followed the same pattern as Christine and
Harrison described. Hope u can go for it!

Eva, similar to Harrison, at the 2005 Girl Scout Convention with 1700, we
put microphone stands in 4 of the "fire marshall aisles" and invited people
to share what had heart and meaning, what got you moving, what touched you,
etc. We only had 10 minutes to do the closing and this worked wonderfully
well.

If you would like to see how this worked, some of the closing comments can

May this dream of you and your friend come true so that you can build on the
best of the past and perhaps innovate new closing circle process.

Eva – when you have a bunch (2108J) a workable approach is to say something
like “We have XX minutes and if anybody cares to share their experience,
their hopes or dreams – raise your hand and I will give you the mike. Just
remember that we have to be out of here by ??:?? o’clock.” When we reach the
magic moment I take back the mike, pass it to the sponsor for a final
farewell. Always seems to work.

OK,

I give up :-) Sorry but it's faster this way - to ask you guys directly. My
question that I was looking for the answer in the archives was and is - How
do you do/ how to handle a closing circle when there is thousands of
participants in an OS meeting. I mean it could take very
loooooooooong.......

I tried to remember the name for the 2108 participants OS but don't
remember...

How did you do that?

All the best

:o)

Eva
