world osonos?

how will the elders ever be able to disappear, raffi, if we keep trying to
herd them altogether once a year?  and since when did this community run on
elders?  <grin>  wouldn't it be wonderful if elder, to the extent the
distinction survives, becomes a local phenomenon.

and no, i don't think that it's a simple as anyone can host an osonos.
there is now a sort of validation process in place.  and no unifying
structure.  in recent years, we've even changed the name to distinguish a
single "W"osonos.  if it was really as simple as anyone could do it, there
would be no need for having the conversations that happen quietly or not so
quietly at each W event.

melbourne came as close as ever, for sure, but just cuz some employees go
out for a coffee together, doesn't mean the organization is working in open
space. <g>
