Dear Gijs,
I tried to simulate signing off the OSLIST myself.
First, I went to
> http://listserv.boisestate.edu/archives/oslist.html

There, I clicked on
Subscriber's Corner
in the upper left corner and reached
> http://listserv.boisestate.edu/cgi-bin/wa?REPORT&z=3

There, I found under the heading "Welcome to Subscriber's Corner"
a line saying
You can do the following:
Among the three options I chose
Signoff from one or more lists.
That took me to
> http://listserv.boisestate.edu/cgi-bin/wa?REPORT&z=3#SUBSSIGNOFF

In the blue box with the heading "Lists on LISTSERVE.BOISESTATE.EDU
I see a line saying "You are subscribed to 1 List as mmpanne at boscop.ort"

(I feel that I am almost there!!!)

Under the blue box it gives instructions on how to sign off, it can be
done in three steps
> # Check the box next to each list you want to leave.
> # At the bottom of the List Names column, select the "Unsubscribe" option.
> # Press the "Submit Changes" button

Ok, I went back to the blue box and checked the box next to my List,
which is OSLIST.
Then I went to the white field just underneath the List Names which in
my case is OSLIST, clicked on the little arrow which gave my two options
subscribe
unsubscribe
I clicked on "unsubscribe" which made the word "unsubscribe" appear in
the white box.

All, I now would need to do is to click on the field just underneath the
blue box (right side) saying
Submit Changes.

Now, I dare you, try this and send me a note after unsubscribing telling
me how it went for you....here is my email address
> mmpanne at boscop.org

One thing, I believe, which is important, is to approach the OSLIST
archives with respect and an emailaddress that OSLIST will recognize as
yours. So please make sure that you are using the email with which you
originally subscribed to OSLIST.

Have a great day
mmp
