It's good to know that it's possible to convert the archives to another
system, even if that route isn't taken. Converting shouldn't be terribly
hard, but it will probably take some "manual labor" by a techie (I'm not
volunteering) that could surpass $500 in *value* even if volunteered.

One thing I'd recommend including in the plan is to have a few backup copies
of the raw archive files in different places. As long as one or more OST
community members have backup copies, the archive can always be recovered in
the future if any particular service goes away.
