Open space applied to sustainability projects? OST in Cyber space?

Hi,

our group (http://radical-inclusion.com) has experimented with different
open forms of virtual conferences along the Open Space format. Last year, we
called it "Real Time Virtual Collaboration", this year we have renamed it
and call the process "Radical Real Time". In our learning journey we have
understood that not all principles of Open Space Technology can be - and
need to be - translated 1:1 into a virtual format. There are some
limitations (e.g., participants have to master some basic technical skills)
but also some advantages (e.g. documentation is instantly).

In our format, participants can announce sessions before the actual event -
that is a major difference to Open Space Technology. But the four principles
and the Law apply equally. Besides the topic, convenors can also decide on
which virtual tool to use for their session (we give some suggestions, though).

This year's RRT will take place on June 5, 2010 on the theme:
"Making the Most of Collaborative Worlds: Physical, Virtual and Blended
Collaboration"
and you can find more information at
http://rtvc10.ning.com/

We hope to see many of you in cyberspace!

Regards
Holger Nauheimer
