Bonjour!

http://www.bistrolecapvert.com/.

http://fosurfo.blogspot.com/

Hi all!

My next visit to Montreal creates an opportunity for a Stammtisch, on Monday
June 15 from 5:30 pm at the restaurant Le Cap Vert, au 1212 McGill College
(entre Cathcart et Ste-Catherine) - http://www.bistrolecapvert.com/ If you
happen to be around Montreal, join us! Our topic of the day will be: in what
contexts have you used Open Space, and with what results?

I'll be in Quebec all week, ending it beautifully at the second French Open
Space on Open Space at Lac de l'Argile, in the Outaouais region. It should
be fascinating with a Storytelling Circle and a Drumming Circle. I'm looking
forward to discovering this. For more details, check out the French blog
FosurFo : http://fosurfo.blogspot.com/

Hope to see some of you next Monday!

Dear Kaliya, after a client of mine indicated the German Wiki-site on OST, I
quickly had to edit it to change what I was not happy with. But so far,
there is no organized supervision. If you have energy for the necessary
changes, do them, please!!!

Betreff: Open Space being badly defined

So, In case you are all wondering about the online world....while you were
not looking some geeks decided to define things badly.

There is an entry about barcamps that claims they are an "open space" event
http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?titleºrCamp
<http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?titleºrCamp&oldid)4721271#Structure
_and_participatory_process>
&oldid)4721271#Structure_and_participatory_process

(I already edited to make it better...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BarCamp#Structure_and_participatory_process

and then links to this entry for "open space meeting"
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Open-space_meeting

which was shocking to me - I actually think it should be deleted - which we
could propose.

Does anyone know where this "term" is coming from or where it is used?

Does this community have a plan for online engagement around usage of the
term and how it is not taken out of context and used poorly?

Has there been any conversation about changing the "name' to Open Space
Methodology? (I personaly can't use the words "OST" cause I work in tech and
well that creates confusion. Open Space Method makes it clear it is a
"particular way of facilitating" more then the word "technology" does at
least in my mind...

-Kaliya
