I can't figure this out - I have send a couple of e-mails to you off list
about the contribution to your e-book - but I am not sure that they have
reached you - can you give me a hint offlist if you have got it?

Ralph,

I know you're not asking about this, but just want to put in a good word for
reading the OSlist online. 

I never found a way to read the OSlist as emails, and now can't send in
posts as emails. So, I've gotten used to reading the list in my web browser
(Firefox).

I have an OSlist button on my browser which links to the current month's
archives:

http://listserv.boisestate.edu/cgi-bin/wa?A1=ind0803&L=oslist

Just click on the button, and there's the list!

The "0803" in the link indicate the year and month, so at the end of the
month I just change it to the number of the next month.

I don't think we're going to switch over to an OSlist with all kinds of
bells and whistles anytime soon. 

So, for now, let's continue to enjoy the html code gobbledygook! As it is,
there's a certain quaintness about this 20th century listserv technology,
kind of like delighting in using punchcards on a huge IBM mainframe as
opposed to point and click or plug and play...
