Thanks, Harrison, for this link. When i first lectured a bit about Semco
about 12 years ago i really did not realize how great that was/is.
Hearing that he is still on his way is terrific!
And knowing that he started a school, actually a democratic school, is
just the next step.
For me Sudbury Valley and others are open space in the ecucational
system. Pure open space.
If anybody is interested here you can find out more about democratic
schools:
The International Democratic Education Network of David Gribble and
others: www.idenetwork.org (i highly recommend his book: Real education
- Varieties of Freedom)
The Institute for Democratic Education in Israel:
http://www.democratic-edu.org/
A list of Democratic Schools around the globe:
http://www.educationrevolution.org/lisofdemscho.html
A democratic school in Moscow: http://734.com1.ru/eng/
And for german speaking people this publisher is great:
http://www.tologo.de/sudbury-schulen-dvd/
Just wonderful.
Blessings
Christian
