OST with Armed Forces

Jaime - Since most western organizations are organized on what many call,
"The Military Model," I think it would be fair to say that most OSTs have
been done with such organizations. Now whether the military actually
organizes in the same fashion as "The Military Model" is another, and very
interesting, question. Having done a reasonable amount of work with various
branches of the US military, along with a number of similar organizations, I
can say with out reservation that OS works with those folks, just like it
does with all other folks. I can also say that when the military is in the
battle field, the organizational pattern transforms in ways that make it
look quite unlike the Military Model. As a matter of fact, I have had
officers tell me that if they actually had to fight a battle and maintain
the "Military Model" they would lose. Turns out that things are not always
what they seem to be.

Subject: OST with Armed Forces

Hello dear colleagues,

I am wondering if someone in the list have had an experience with the Armed
Forces or similar vertical/authoritative institution. I am about to submit a
proposal to the Insurance Cooperative of the Bolivian National Police. One
of the main troubles with the working team is that they are treated as
"soldiers" by their bosses. This situation is reproduced vis-a-vis the
cooperative members and the people that visit the institution.Do you think
OS could be useful?

Have my anticipated thanks and warm regards

Jaime
