two martinis

Here's to all the good folks -- opening space in the original fashion.
Cheers! Some may wonder why I ever revealed the tale of Two Martinis. The
fact is -- it is true. But more than that it seemed to me that the
happenstantial (to say nothing of the alcoholic) genesis of OST made it
quite clear that in no way did I "invent" it. OST, in some very significant
ways always was -- and I was just fortunate enough to stumble upon it. No
research protocols, no searches of the literature -- just two Martinis. And
in truth, I didn't even realize how radical and important it was (could be)
until some friends pointed that out. I am a slow learner. But I am catching
up... Have fun!

Subject: two martinis

Dear colleagues,

on the second evening of our Learning Exchange (regional OSonOS) with 34
colleagues from Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Poland, Netherlands,
Spain and Sweden we started our after work party with a two martini
reminiscence apero. Harrison was present through his voice recroded on
the tirst of five CD pack "Understanding Open Space" telling of
discovering Open Space with the help of two martinis. The bartender had
received very specific instructions on the proportions of gin and
vermouth. While listening to the story we, of course, enjoyed the drinks
which immediately showed their effect. The party was definitely started.
All the apparently important collaborations and projects were inspired.
Again, it was demonstrated that the breaks are the essential element
also of this event. The course of the event transformed into a story
telling session evoking the Spirit of Open Space.

It is definitely alive at our Learning Exchange which will continue for
two more days.

Greetings from Berlin and see you in Kiev in May for the worldwide
OSonOS XV.

MMP and Jo
