There is a method called Open Spaces Technology ( you may be able to find someone trained in your area or find it on the web) that is fairly simple to learn and would work great with youth moderators as facilitation method. I would keep it a short day - only 3-4 hours max, food at the end. If you can add in a panel presentation to adults- it has been (in my experience) very powerful (for both adults and youth) to have the youth present their ideas/findings to adults and have a focused panel interaction.  I also used a movie theater once - which was a great venue!
