Cool poem Chris.

Call me simple, (or even a simpleton), but why do I find limericks so
fulfilling. :-)

Warm regards,

Andrew

There once was a woman called Birch
Who was invited to work with a church
She knew all the rules,
And could use all the tools
And finally chose Future Search.

She did well but felt that the place
Might use a little more grace
So she threw out the rules
And sat and retooled
And finally just opened some space;.

Craig -- Love the poem. And I find the serendipitous ridiculousness of
writing poems about a "meeting methodology" particularly appealing. Maybe
somebody has done it, but I have yet to see an "Ode to Real Time Strategic
Change," A Sonnet in honor of Appreciative Inquiry, or blank verse charting
a Future Search. But then again it may not be about a "meeting methodology?"

Below is a poem I offer that emerged from my experiences of Open Space.
This is the world it creates for me and in me. I hope you enjoy the sense
and nonsense of it. Thanks, Craig

                                                 A Poem of Open Space
                                                          Craig Gilliam
                                                           10/3/06

The dance of nonsense,
        in and out of time,
                the swirling mass matters,
                        the deep rhythms,
no one knows, but all know, unspoken,
                                        rising waters, sinking tides,
                                                        the Spirit moving
over the deep,
                                                                order from
chaos,

chaos from order,

silence,
                                                                        out
of the whirlwind,
                                                out of the fragments of
disconnects,
                                        a subtle voice emerges,
                                whispers,
                        shouts,
                a new song,
        a new order,
                                        new connections,
                                playing with and through us;
                        Is it all for naught,
or is it naught that opens the way?
