Dear Berry,

The first time we did this, I did some "pre-work" with the Professor . . . advised him to "develop" a theme that would be "real" for the students. Turns out MBA programs are quite competitive nationally, and the students were passionate about National rankings and how they affect the success of their school. He developed the theme during prior classes and included the whole group . . . The result was a theme about the rankings because our first session just happened to be shortly after the release of those ranking statistics.

He wrote an invitation to the class . . . and delivered that by email a week prior to the class

> -what have been Themes?

Other themes have been about the operational aspects of the school - Administrative - Educational Excellence etc

> -are the issues that are posted worked on over the whole semester,

Yes, some issues have brought on the formation of a few "groups" that now meet regularly.

> spread out beyond 2 days or are there actually 2 days available in a block?

There are not 2 days available in a block . . . The "concept" is/was a "2 day OST event . . . The reality was that they scheduled the session throughout the following week (they were still in their regular MBA curriculum) . . . Their "Closing" was the next week's class session.

cheduling "after class" look like? (in terms of
> beginning times and spaces chosen)?

Times were "after hours" or during lunch breaks - This is an "Urban" campus so spaces were coffee houses, bars, restaurants . . . and the school has some interesting meeting spaces.

The FIRST first session WAS "We'll try this once" . . . We had NO idea the students would actually take this beyond that class session (even though we were hopeful) . . . It truly self-propagated . . .

Yes - My total time investment in this whole thing was @ 3 hours (1.5 hours pre-work + 1.5 hours opening and 1st session) for the first one . . . 1.5 hours for following ones . . . They only "need" me now for the opening. Each session has all new students. Yes . . . truly an invisible facilitator . . . although I do know that the Professor does a certain amount of "space holding"

I am not aware of a website but will check with the Professor . . . The room is always set up in 100% pure, traditional OST fashion with hand written posters on the walls and post-it matrix etc.

Best,
