Dear Nigel,
good luck with your seminar.
Instead of giving them case studies you might consider using the half 
day to work exactly on the question they are interested in
(it sounds something like "Issues and Opportunities for the improvement 
of our Singapore Institute of Management to drive our businesses forward")
in open space.
That will not only blow their minds but also give them concrete pointers 
of where they might want to be heading.
I have spotted a couple of colleagues in Singapore on the open space

they might know of some local "case studies".
But I would go the experiential route.
