Uhm.. What a lovely and challenging question. I bow to it.
Let me try some answers... brainstorming...
- the space could be circular - or with some circle-decoration in the middle
of the floor
- lots of small inviting places to stand or to sit all around the space -
stairs to sit on, windowsills where you can stand and talk and enjoy the
view, cafe-tables, interesting sculptures to start discussion, places with
lots od light and places without that much light like caves..
- something to break our assumptions about space and use of space..
- lots of space
- floating and turbulent water somewhere
- something to be explored..

Thats my ideas for now - interesting issue!

I don't think this made it onto the list for some reason. Thanks for your
co-creative input.

  Hi All,

I have a friend who is working with a design group and architect to bring
up a state-of-the-art retreat center who asked me, "If you were designing a
space where 75-80 could gather, what design features can you imagine that
would enhance an Open Space experience?"

I would love your input! Thanks.

  Christine
