Afterfeelings

Good day everyone,
Although I have been "opening space" for some years now, I have just joined
OSLIST about a week ago and now I know I "should" have done it before when I
"could" do it....but whatever happened is the only thing that could
have...Anyway, I am interested by the "Afterfeelings" conversation which has
been going on since I joined and I gather even before.
I would like to know what Michael Herman wrote about the Four Practice of
OS....On my part, I don't know if it is a matter of "seniority" but for sure
when I organize/facilitate an event like an OS or a FS I "need" to take the
next day(s) off to recharge my battery.I even became aware that the highest
was the level of energy displayed by the particpants during the event, the
more tired I am afterward. Like going all the way to the top of the mountain
and then, down. Cannot explain it, just feel it.

Actually, Raffi -- I find that it always happens, but sometimes you just
have to pretend that you are working. :-)

Lisa,
I recall Chris Corrigan wrote here once that he includes the day after
an OST meeting as paid time in his contracts.
And I think that's right.
Now, maybe if I began sleeping (I haven't gotten into this healthy
habit yet) during OST meetings...
But, i think the thing about OST meeting facilitation is that once
you've opened the space you're "on" whether or not you want to/like
to or not. Spirit is at work, period. I've always imagined it as a
wave flowing thru my pineal gland thru my chakras and out the belly.
I wonder if really living the four practices of os as Michael Herman
writes about them has something to do with how I feel the next day. If
I were more grounded in those practices, maybe that recovery would
take place differently?
For now, I get the sense that the day after really needs to be a day
for lounging and recovery...which doesn't always happen...
warmly,
raffi
