Process in Breakout Groups

Jimmy, within the context of an OS event, it would be fine to post a
session in the marketplace on the demonstration of process. Then, the
right people would show up for that topic and the right things would
unfold.

As I tried to point out in my last post, it is reasonable for someone
holding a session during an OS event to use a specific process for
that session. But if you are thinking you have to 'educate' everyone
about the correct manner for their open space conversations before you
can trust them to have open space conversations, then I agree with
Wendy's conclusion that you are still thinking you are in control.

Throughout any open space, and throughout one's life, you are always
free, Jimmy, to use a slower, more reflective process -- at least, you
are free to use what looks, to you, like a slower, more reflective
process. And if you feel moved to conduct process lessons while in
putative open space, then you are, always, free to do so. But the
space is not quite open if the person 'opening' the space thinks they
have to tell anyone what to do about anything. For me, you slip out
of open space if you find yourself thinking you have to tell anyone
anything about how to 'be' in open space.

And like Wendy, I ask you to imagine me saying this in a warm,
friendly tone. I liked the way she put her arm on your shoulder.

Just my opinion.
