questions about new website

the weblog is not currently open for public posting.  a group of us
are still just working to get it started, and give it shape.  as we
get going, we expect to be widening the invitation to participate
directly in the weblog.

for now, if you want something posted in the weblog right away, the
invitation on the "join us" page is to send it to me.  it occurs to me
that there is a second option, as well, and that would be to post it
to the oslist with a tag in the subject line, requesting that your
message be cross-posted to teh weblog.

everyone is invited to contribute to what is showing up in the
website.  the 'join us' page has *many* ways that one can contribute. 
 currently, posting directly to the weblog is reserved for those who
have been most active in contributing in the many other ways that are
available.

everyone is invited to send items to me or tag oslist postings for
cross-posting in the weblog.
