International Glossary of Open Space Words and Phrases

.and here.at long last.the international (several languages and growing)
glossary of Open Space words and phrases.
 
We are still working out some 'bugs' but I thought I would just toss
this out for you all to use as is with the knowledge that it will be
improved upon as we go along.

You can click on 'View All' or click on specific letters.  Currently the
words or phrases themselves are translated - the definitions are in
English at this time but we are working on providing a place in this
database for other language-versions of the definitions. If any of you
are interested in translating the definitions it is a huge job (lots of
text) but let me know if you are interested and I can send you that
text.
 
If you do not see your own home language listed here and would like to
translate for a language to be added to this resource, contact me
directly and I can send you a worksheet with the phrases and terms on it
and we can expand this glossary into more languages.  (For some
alphabets I can make a pdf file that shows the entire list of words and
phrases - see for example any of the Hebrew translations).
 
My thanks so far to my dear Open Space colleagues who have provided the
following translations:
 
*         Tova Averbuch (Hebrew)
*         Artur Ferreira da Silva (Portuguese)
*         Philippe Slioussarenko (French)
*         Thomas Herrmann (Swedish)
*         Bernd Weber and Michael M Pannwitz (German)
*         Dragana Tomic (Serbian, which can also be understood I believe
by those in Bosnia, Montenegro and Croatia)
*         Jaime Pedreros (Spanish)
*         Emilia Ilieva and Vanya Ivanova (Bulgarian) - they are
continuing translations for the phrases but principles and law are in
the glossary at this time
*         Mikk Sarv (Estonian)
 
Artur and Tova, I think there are a few words missing in Portuguese and
in Hebrew, so you might want to contact me about that.
 
Gerald, Karen Davis and Bernd: I have also put the Hausa translations
for principles and law from the photos of the signs Bernd shared on the
OSLIST, though I would love to know who to credit for translation.
 
Folks in Italy: I took the principles and law translations off the
photos you posted on the weblog from the OS that Harrison did with you -
perhaps you can take a look to see if I have read them correctly and
perhaps you would like to translate these other terms in the glossary?
If so, let me know.  And I would love to know who to credit for the
translation of the principles and law signs you used.
 
My thanks also to the fabulous Guillermo Macias, one semester left to go
before he becomes a nurse, the one who helped me design my website and
who works on it at each semester break in between his serious classes.
