Talking sticks and listening sticks

Christine--

Interesting thing about the length of the stick. A friend of mine who was
into Hawaiian Huna told me the stick should always be a multiple of 5
inches.

Now I questioned that, saying that the unit of measurement chosen could
account for just about any length divided by 5 somethings--and just as
quickly standardized my listening sticks at 15 inches.

Anybody else have a preferred size for their listening sticks? And your
reasons?
