Oh if only we could open enough space to get rid of extremities, of left
and right I see no difference , that darn spectrum is so 20th Century:
most of us are just people - in contrast, the extremist is closed,
command and control driven and someone who cheats all other people from

I guess I am with you BJ. I haven't finished the article -- but it does
seem
to me that Korten opens up some interesting spaces -- no matter what you
may
think of the view. And certainly if we can go wandering off into odd
metaphysical speculaltion about consciousness and such, contemplating
some
of the issues that Korten describes can't be all that bad -- after all
this
is Open Space.

Paul-- I respect your opinion that this is not the forum for discussing
Korten's article, and I obviously did not agree with that stance..

I sent the article to the list because I believe that open space is
exactly a place to discuss ways to reduce the polarization existing on
the planet today. And many of the questions Korten poses would make
wonderfully connecting OST themes.

I want so very much for people in this country and the world to find
ways of talking to one another in connecting ways about their visions
for the future, regardless of political party or
progressive/conservative labels. I want to be able to do that myself.
When I read something that seems to cross party lines in terms of
frame, I am moved to share that in hopes that this might be a way to
cross what seems at times like an enormous chasm.

I regret if you or anyone else is offended by my passion and personal
quest.
