G'day Steve and All
Your comment on the use of Open Space whets my appetite for more detail. For what I have been engaged in, and have in mind to take further,
would seem to be in accord with the Vision and Values of your program and what you are doing in practice.
There is a leadership program in Adelaide in which I now have regular input. Entitled the Governor's Leadership Foundation Program (GLFP) it is delivered by the Leadership Institute of South Australia (LISA). www.lisa.com.au
Below is an outline of what transpired to be a most lively and enjoyable happening at last year's 'Closing Retreat.' The 'results' were so successful that similar activities are now integral to the 2004 program, starting on Day 1 of the course. See also http://www.creativestate.biz/Leadership1.htm
Your posting is another trigger in prompting me to propose to the director of LISA that an 'Art of Hosting' component - as brought to our attention most recently
by Judi Richardson - be introduced to the GLFP. There are diverse dimensions to this, among them being personal development and awareness of leading edge processes through which leaders engage with others richly. Plus of course the fundamental notion of hosting being a core leadership practice.
I wonder if you would elaborate on 'Open Space has been instrumental is the evolution of the following ...'
