The URL got split.
Try http://tinyurl.com/4r4dx it's easier and gets you to the picture just
the same! (Nice picture, BTW...very expressive!)

Here's a Hat (and face!) photo from the Practice of Peace site. (I hope
this long address will work...)

Hi,
I facilitated a one hour session with a group of experienced
facilitators at a one day seminar. The seminar was about new
developments with an awareness tool called the Strength Deployment
Inventory. The theme was a question - how can we increase the take-up
of SDI in organisations? In sixty minutes we came up with twelve
outcomes.
It worked, but I think doing with a group of facilitators contributed to
its success.

I did a 60 minute version once as part of a half day "training" session
preparing a group of folks to be ready for an OS in their organization.
It was a big success! Having the actual experience was what put them
over the top in terms of their understanding of and commitment to the
process.

I agree that doing an OS demonstration is challenging. I did a
90-minute version once for a group of colleagues. Had three 20-minute
sessions squeezed in. It was awful. Everybody looked bored. Never
again.
On the other hand, I did a 30-minute thing for a client once involving
the top 20 managers in an American airline company. They kept pressing
me for an explanation, so during a break I hurriedly made the posters
and stuck them on the walls. Then I reconvened everyone in a circle and
did the opening. That's all. No postings. No actual open space.
They loved it. A month later I was doing a one-day event for them to
explore their frequent-flier program, customers included.
