I guess it depends on the elements of BtC:
- an OS side
- few-to-many broadcast side (like kolabora.com - depends on needs)
- web support (you might ask espians at wtfcon.org - they do nice
tricks with chat and webpages and wikis)
Regarding OS, I think it would help to know if others have tried - or
are currently willing to try small-scale (two groups across a
frontier?) and share.

I'm eager to connect doers - better still if it's across languages.
No experience in OS yet - I intend earn me some as soon as possible.
