Educational Research Question

Dear Sue

We have facilitated three OS events with parents and teachers and
four with pupils (ages 10 to 16) and teachers for the Scottish
Executive Education Department, Scotland's devolved central
government. These events were under the new Assessment is for
Learning programme that is introducing much greater formative
assessment and interactive participation at primary and secondary
schools.

We will be posting more summary reports on the dedicated educational
wiki wiki as follows:

http://www.openspaceworld.org/network/wiki.cgi?OpenSpaceinEducation

Surprise, surprise, OS has been a great hit with everyone who has
participated. The Minister of Education reads the write-up of each
pupil event. It appears this is the first time anyone in Scotland
asked customers (pupils) what they want to learn, how best they learn
and why they learn!! The primary children have been amazing
contributors - creative, articulate and demanding better from
teachers!

Michael, thanks for posting Sue's question on the LIST.

Cheers

Kerry
