regional open space on open spaces

Gabriela:

Your thoughts make sense to me - we would dearly love to participate in
OSonOS again - but travel costs and time are a problem - we live in
Canada and while I would dearly love to travel the world to get to each
OSonOS it's just not going to happen. I am grateful for the regional
events that keep me in touch with the local community - and this list
which keep me in touch with everyone else.

I'm not sure if the low registration is caused by regional events or by
the fact that this cyber community is so strong and the need to meet
face to face is diminished.

It would make sense to me to stagger the two events - because I would
like to participate on line (even if not in person) as much as possible
and taking time to do that twice in a short time window is difficult.

I do wonder sometimes if OSonOS were every second year if more of us
would be able to make it at the same time - many people seem to go one
year and not the next and while I was able to put a lot of faces and
names together in Vancouver there were a lot of faces missing then too.
I am glad that yours is one of the faces I was able to meet.

Then again, on an every other year schedule if you missed one it would
be four years between OSonOSs.

Sharon
