Rome was one year ago - any news?

Thanks for the news. My conclusion: in spite of bad conditions created by
radicals in both sides (one of them being Sharon, himself) and the bad
geopolitical conditions, the inner space is still open in the majority of
the israelis and palestinians that attended the Roma's event.

And that is probably the BEST that could be obtained in the circunstaces.

Let me add two other comments on the Rome event that I have not made one
year ago. For sure ,
and as you and Avner have pointed out, there was the magic of Harrison
creating a "reflexion period" (and thus violating, very cleverly, the rules
of OST...). But the other is the fact that he began to insist in having a
more neutral (non american) facilitator and even suggesting one. As this
one has NOT accepted,  the credabilitty of the facilitator was much bigger
than if he had not pointed that in the firast place.
