very shortly I want to tell that I hate this word "Practitioner". Our
"International Forum of Visual Practitioners Association", which I a am a
member of, uses this description also, and I am fighting for a new and more
beautiful name - so now also you my OS friends come up with this name?
Please don't!

Hi Birgitt,
there have been some references to the use of the term "practitioner"
with the implication that you would like to discuss this as a
"given".
Since I was puzzled by this, I asked Haiti John to give me a
reference....he complied and I took a look into the wiki discussion.
That didnt help much, so I am turning to you directly.
Background of my interest:
there are a lot of different ways of referring to roles, activities,
tasks, phases, etc. in ost. In the german speaking realm I am
interested in having an understanding about "terms".
This does not mean to me that there has to be an agreed upon
vocabulary but rather that I like to have a discussion.
>From where I sit, it appears that words used do reflect on
theoretical background. And since I sort of like Kurt Lewins
statement on that there is nothing more useful for ones practice than
a workable theory I am keen on words.
Whats your scoop on "practitioner"?
See you in Denmark
