OST and conflicts

Dear Dominique,
one of the 4 or so preconditions for open space is potential or real
conflict.
If you pull this notion together with the selforganizing nature of
systems (biological, etc.) and the recommendation for an
os-facilitator to be fully present and at the same time invisible any
kind of intervention in subgroups is counterindicated (the largest os
I was part of together with the man with the hat had close to 70
breakoutgroups going on simultaneously while I took a nap and HO
probably sat in the sun).
Many participants note their surprise on how peaceful everything
seems to run in os.
In my experience, I had one os where there actually was a physical
fight...a number of participants got involved in dealing with it and
a couple of the proponents commented on it during evening news
without me having either encouraged or discouraged it.
Selforganisation took care of it.
Love your question
greetings from Berlin
mmp
