My training for working with organizations came right out of Kurt Lewin's
work, and I still use a lot of what I learned there.  There are many
approaches and interventions  that are "standard" OD practice that I never
use, because they are just not a good fit with my own beliefs and
competencies.

I am attracted to Open Space because it is moving in the same direction I am,
uses the skills that I feel are my strengths, and keeps me close to my
growing edge.  It keeps me practicing releasing my illusions of control,
which is as much a spiritual issue as a professional one.

And I also know it is not right for every consultant or every client.  There
are plenty of good ways to work, I use a few and others use many more--the
objective is growth and learning for myself and the client.  And for me, Open
Space is a delight.
