Space invasion Thanksgiving

Hi,

It's Thanksgiving morning in the eastern US, and I am thankful for, among
many, many things, for open space.

Space that opens, time that frees, and spirit that dances. My goodness,
such blessings.

I am also thankful for the courage and insight of the person here who
reported on her "space invasion" with teenage girls - always a dangerous
enterprise for adults, I think. It's not appropriate for me to judge what
happened, since I was not there, but I was left with a few questions.

1. Given that the participants were teens, can we expect that a relative
stranger has a good chance to be establish excellent rapport without a lot
of upfront trust-building?

2. In what conditions does it make sense to attempt to open space for a
brief periods, especially if the agenda must also include lunch? I
generally prefer not to open space for periods of less than four hours.
This grows out of my own experiences, and I'd never propose it as a
necessary criterion for anyone else, (although I obviously think it's a
practice with some merit, or I wouldn't mention it.)

3. Do we find ourselves seeking to open space on occasions when their may
be more appropriate methods? (I know I have done this.)

You were an innocent, inadvertent "invader" so, therefore, not really an
invader at all. It was not your intention to disrupt their lives and
process in any way. You deserve credit for wanting to be of service.

Hey there.
I received some answers from collegues around the world (Lisa, Harrison,
Gabriela, Peggy), regarding dates when other main events take place which
may attract OS-facilitators almost as much as OSonOSin"Swenmark". Thank you!
Anyone else?? The time to concider is august-december 2003. This is the last
chance. Next week I will meet Gerard from Denmark to try to set a date.
