morning/evening news for 700

Hi List,

I'm still working with some fine folks organizing a "council of elders" for
700.  I still can't get my mind all the way around an OST for this many
people.  Please someone, tell me what morning or evening news is like.  Is
it a standard microphone-in-the-middle talking circle?  How much time would
you schedule for it?  Would you introduce it in a different way for so many
people?

(We have a lovely gymnasium and a perfect wall.  I'm picturing about five
concentric circles, with aisles to the four directions.)
