Storytelling

For me it's about story-listening and I feel that this is more of an ad
hoc event rather setting it up. If people are coming the night before I
like to have a pleasant, simple environment ( not too much decoration
that takes over ) something to chew and something to drink and leave it
to the group. People who come have their stories and will share what
they feel is appropriate. Usually this is related to the listening
quality of the group. Not passive listening - rather a listening that
is engaging. Many years ago I used to make introductions. However now
I find that this happens without me. I do love story telling and find
it quite enlivening where there is no attempt to control it.
Thank you for all the insights that have been given - I keep learning
from this creative sharing. Joan
