Harrison--

<< Who knows, it might just work.

That really *is* the best answer, isn't it?

<< consciously "re-start" the process of self-organization. And once
started
<< (if it starts -- and some things are just dead) we witness the natural
<< fruits of self-organization such as appropriate leadership,
self-managed

What if these "things" *are* just dead? In a corporate setting, we can
close up shop and everybody go off and form new companies or join other
people. But that is not exactly possible where people are living so close
together. We cannot just move one group of people off to another planet.

Maybe the answer to my question is that as long as people are alive, then
the self-organizing process is still alive, and so is hope. But how to get
people to try, even if they have given up hoping?

                              :-Doug.
