timing of storytelling before OS

the only time i can remember doing storytelling the night before an
event, i found the question posed in the storytelling was so close to
the theme question that i think it had the effect of inviting all of our
best stories before the opening.  i think this caused the opening and
the open space to go flat.

alternatively, there have been times when i thought we should do
storytelling, but the group pushed for a friday evening opening and
first session, in advance of an all-day saturday open space, and these
events went very well.

so important to ask a distinct question for storytelling, if you do it
at all.
