Peggy,
I hope there is something to do in order to prevent a war.
How to preserve the evolving of  a more chaotic - self organized and not
controled world is bothering me lot.
I agree that in creating an open space/society the aspiration should be to
include all the extremes.
But I think that the space will allways have someone who will attack it
(statisticaly or according to Darvin).
In order to avoid it the space  must  include as well all those who are
close in opinions and feelings to the `invadors` and by that isolate and
reduce their danger and attack only them  if they are harmful.
There is asaying in our scripts that `Those who are mercyfull for the cruels
will eventually be cruel to the mercifull`
