September 11 Disaster

Hello Peggy and all

When justice speaks alone, it is the voice of retaliation I hear.
When mercy speaks alone, it is the voice of surender I hear.
When truth speaks alone, it is fanatism I hear.
When peace speaks alone, it is the voice of conformism I hear.
Would it be possible to bring the perpetrators to international courts of justice, speak the truth of the pillage that our western democracies are still comitting, be mercyfull by condoning the debts of the undeveloped countries and build peace by expending in real peace operations as much money and training as we spend in our military?

Friends,

I got the 2 notes below on Wednesday and today in response to the first
message that I forwarded to this list and also sent out quite broadly. I
don't even know these folks so I assume someone I sent to passed the
messages on.

To Artur's question about mainstream response, I suspect these are more
reflective of it. I want very much to respond to these messages in a way
that opens them beyond the anger of the moment. I saw some survey that 90%
of americans are ready to go to war over this. I suspect many of us will be
in conversations where our views are very much the minority.

Please help me know how best to speak in a way that unites and opens to door
to other voices (truth, mercy and peace as well as justice?).

Peggy

I disagree too little too late, its like a gang banger criminal in your area
kills or rapes your family or friends or a lot of people, then would you go
and tell the police please do not go after him or them, do not arrest or put
them in jail, please try to talk some sense in them. wrong......i know you
would want them arrested and punished for what they have done to you or
family otherwise the whole system will fail and there will be chaos on the
streets. you are not dealing with people who have common sence here when
they have no value for other human lives or their own expect thier own cause
what ever that might be.
