good idea or bad idea?

Hi List,

Big Conference, with a history.  Wanting to switch to Open Space next year.
Worried about marketing.

Idea:  Contact the famous people in the field who would have been keynote
speakers or workshop leaders.  Invite them to come, and offer to pay them.
Explain that they will be convening their workshops in Open Space.

In marketing materials, use their names as drawing cards, but also explain
that the conference will be held in Open Space.

So next September, everyone's in the circle, but everyone is perhaps not
"equal" - while most have paid to come, some are being paid to be there.
While some contemplate the chaos of the circle and consider whether to
convene, others will be well-prepared, expecting and expected to convene.

Good idea or bad idea?
