Laura,

One thought to add to the wonderful repsonses you've already received.

A few years ago, I did a 2.5 day event with 6 people.  It was a board
retreat and going in I had a hard time envisioning that they'd really need
all that time.  They filled it fully.  The dynamics were the same as a large
OS and people met in virtually every configuration -- all 6 together, pairs,
3/3, etc.
