Seeking advice: mixing youth & adults at OS + video

Susan,

I have no experience with attempts at "youth only" sessions, so I can offer
no advice there, except to say that if something feels closed, it probably
is.

I have also tried to put myself in your shoes, as facilitator, and have
asked myself what I would do if someone announced a session and said it was
restricted in some way. The answer that came up for me is that I would do
nothing and say nothing. And if someone complained to me about it, I would
probably suggest they talk it over with the convener of the particular
session.

I have had several experiences with videographers. I suppose there is
potential for disruption, so I always talk with them in advance and explain
what's going to happen and what I would consider interference or
interruption. They have always been amenable to my suggestions.
Participants have never complained to me about either the presence or the
behavior of such folks. I also work to humanize the person by introducing
him/her, etc.
