CONFERENCE NOTICE

A Community of Agile Partners in Education (CAPE) is sponsoring an open
registration Open Space conference for educators in Bethlehem, PA on June
7-8. The conference question: "What futures does technology make
possible for your institution?"

The conference has been prompted by the major investments that both K-12
and higher education have made in technological infrastructures. Viewing
technology as a way to remain competitive, many institutions have added
the technology onto traditional organizational structures without
considering the opportunity technology creates for designing new
educational delivery and administration systems. This one-and-a-half day
conference will open the space to explore that challenge.

To obtain more information about the conference and for registration, go
to CAPE's web site at www.acape.org. Conference information is listed
under the NEWS section. CAPE's office may be also be reached at
610-625-7931.

Please share this information with any educational clients or other
educators you know. Bethlehem is approximately 70 miles east of New York
City and 50 miles north of Philadelphia.

Thanks!

The article to which you refer was published in the Financial Post (Toronto
newspaper) and titled "Brainstorming without a net" by Greg Crone. The
sub-title was "Un-conferences" attended by Fast Company devotees aim to
groom leaders for the business revolution. The theme for the meeting was
"Transform the World of Work - Design the Life You Love" (unfortunately I
don't have the date but it was summer 1999). Hope this helps.
